The medium roast is genuinely smooth with no bitter aftertaste, even when I brew it strong in my French press. I’ve noticed the mushroom blend doesn’t alter the flavor at all, which was my biggest worry. This is my go-to morning grind now.
The bag survived a two-week road trip in my camper and the beans stayed perfectly fresh, opened up to a smooth, balanced cup that didn’t need any sugar. I’ve been drinking a mug mid-morning and feel a steady lift that lasts, not the jittery crash I used to get.
The whole beans grind up beautifully and the medium roast holds its smoothness even as it cools—no bitter bite at the end. I’ve been swapping this in for my usual morning cup and the functional mushroom blend feels like a subtle, clean lift without any weird aftertaste.
